Plus, a special giveaway for Women’s History Month!

March is Women’s History Month, which always makes me reflect on the incredible women who shared their stories of building movements for my book “Find Your Fire: Stories and Strategies to Inspire the Changemaker Inside You.” If you’ve read the book yourself, then you won’t be surprised at all to know that these #Firestarters are continuing to spark change:

  • Austin City Council Member Vanessa Fuentes is driving real progress for working families here in Austin. One of her key accomplishments was the passage of a measure making it easier for childcare providers to open new facilities.
  • Monica Kang is the organizer of TEDxLogan Circle, set for August 15, 2024, in Washington. The theme is “Rethink Innovation.”
  •  At Austin Opera, General Director Annie Burridge continues to innovate. The Opera is adding more Spanish-language productions and hired a curator of Hispanic and Latinx programming.
  • I’m also excited that #Firestarters like Angie Provost and Rina Shah are gaining even more coverage of their work.
  •  And don’t forget to check out our recent updates on Claudia Yoli Ferla and Karen Weaver from the Movement Maker Collective blog.

And if you haven’t read “Find Your Fire” yet, I’ve got some good news for you: From Monday, March 18 until Friday, March 22, the Kindle edition will be FREE on Amazon, in honor of Women’s History Month.

In “Find Your Fire,” you’ll hear stories of women from all walks of life — from farming to politics — who are changing the world. These #Firestarters open up and share their hard-won wisdom and real-world strategies with you. I’ll also tell you my own story and teach you my Firestarter Formula, the same framework that I have used to launch movements that have impacted millions of people. This book has literally changed lives. And I believe it can change yours, too.

Oh, and did I mention that “Find Your Fire” has a 4.9 rating on Amazon, and Cosmo named it one of the best nonfiction books of 2020? 👐🏽

So don’t miss this chance to get your copy of a book that “makes you want to get up and go make a difference as soon as you’re done reading” and features “excellent, actionable ideas and lots of resources for anyone hoping to do more for the causes they hold dear.” And if “Find Your Fire” inspires you, please spread the spark to others: Tag me in your social posts about “FYF,” spread the word to others, and leave your own Amazon review.

This is your time to make history, #Firestarters. And “Find Your Fire” is your guidebook to the journey ahead. Get started now.
